The November 1910 Sanborn shows ‘Motion Pictures’ operating in the northern storefront of a three-story commercial block. This building was constructed no later than 1887.
The 227-seat theater remains in operation on the 1920 map, but by 1930, it has switched sides, replacing a millinery in the southern storefront. A small awning has appeared over the new entrance. The address was now 325 and the seating capacity was 217. It was still open in 1932 as a silent movies theater, but had closed by 1933. By 1948, this building has returned to retail use.
The older theater space appears to be an apartment, and the ‘new’ space is now a barber shop.
