On January 29, 1947, the Austin (TX) American referred to “the new Jaycee Theater” owned by Ernest Stubbs Jr. in Johnson City. The 1950 Film Daily Year Book listed the “Jay Cee” with 265 seats.
The September 26, 1953 Billboard wrote that “Marlin Barrow has taken over operation of the Jaycee Theater, Johnson City, Tex., formerly operated by Joe Chamberlain”. The JatCee Theater had closed by 1955.
