In its October 24, 1953 issue, Billboard reported, “New drive-in theater at Claresholm, Alta., is the Green Hills, operated by Ward MacDonald and Hector Ross”. It had opened on August 28, 1953 with Clifton Webb in “Stars and Stripes Forever” & Johnny Weissmuller in “Voodoo Tiger”.

The 1955 Motion Picture Almanac included “Drive-In” under Claresholm, capacity 200 cars, owner Claresholm D-I Theatres, Ltd.
