On June 14, 1952, Billboard reported, “A 250-car drive-in is being built near Cranbrook, B. C., by Rex Colmer. Theater, expected to be in operation by July 15, will be the nucles (sic) of a projected $70,000 amusement center to include dance hall, cafe and playground”.
Cranbrook’s Rex Drive-In debuted in the 1956 edition of the Motion Picture Almanac’s annual drive-in list. It had a capacity of 250, owner R. W. Colmar.

2495 Theatre Rd, Cranbrook. The screen was actually still there until mid 2019. It can also be seen on Google Street View.
The screen also appears to be low-mounted as well.
