The Kingsway Plaza Plaza Mall launched theatre-less on July 14, 1970. On October 11, 1973, it had a Malco theatre launching as the Mall Cinema with Ryan and Tatum O'Neal in “Paper Moon.” It was located next to Grabers Department Store. Open in the 1990’s, the long-running venue likely made it to end of its 25-year lease with Malco continuing into the 2020’s with an 8-screen and triplex elsewhere in the city.
