This theatre appears on the 1910 map, in a two-story concrete block structure. The block on the front at least was stone patterned. Constructed as an opera house sometime after 1905, which is rather late for such a building. It was simply arranged, with a flat-fronted balcony extending nearly half the depth, and a flat-fronted stage at the rear. There was a lodge hall on the second floor.
The Kentland Theatre was listed as a movie theatre in the American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915. It was still operational on the 1921 map. On that map, it is still shown with stage and scenery. It closed as a movie theatre in 1938 due to the opening of the New Kent Theatre. By 1942, it was being used as a car dealership. The building was demolished long ago.
On the 1942 map, the address is 12 W. Graham Street. Bizarrely, there is no W. Graham Street anymore. The entire street is E Graham Street, the dividing line having been moved from 3rd (which is the main drag running N-S past the courthouse) to 1st Street.
