Located in the Friedrichshain district in the east of the city center. The street Blumenstrasse ceased to exist after 1945. The Residenz Lichtspiele was opened in 1912 and it was operated by W. Bromme. In 1931 a Tobis sound system was installed and the cinema was re-named Resi-Tonfilmbuhne. At the same time Paul Goldstein took over the operation. The size of the stage was 8x6 meters. In 1937 it was taken over by Walter Eiling.
In 1943 the cinema was badly damaged by Allied bombs during World War II. It was not rebuilt.
