The Laila Cinema was opened by Egyptian Cinema Company & Co Mohammed Ali and operated by Elias George Lofti. Seating was provided for 650 in the stalls and 200 in the balcony with 5 in the loge. The Laila Cinema screened American, British, Egyptian & Arabic productions. The E II projectors were by Ernemann and the sound system was by Western Electric.
