Located in Wigan, Lancashire. Originally built as a roller skating rink, it was converted into the Palace Picture Theatre which opened on December 13, 1911. By 1929 it was operated by the H.D. Moorhouse Circuit, and by 1931 they had installed a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system.
The Palace Picture Theatre had been taken over by Magee-Marshall & Company by 1940. In 1950 a British Acoustic(BA) sound system was installed. CinemaScope was installed in 1956, but the cinema was closed in the late-1950’s. It became a carpet store. Later demolished, the Revolution bar & club stands on the site in 2020.
