Gopuram Cinemas was opened November 15, 2020, by Sushmitha Anbuchezhian, the daughter of Neelamegam Anbuchezhian of Gopuram Films, a major backer of Tamil films. Sushmitha says she has plans to open more cinemas.
The three screen, 1,000-seat cinema is equipped with Barco projectors, 3D, and Dolby Atmos sound. Films are presented in Tamil and American films in both Tamil and English.
Local comments note it was previously the single screen Saraswathi Cinemas.
