The Cortland Plaza Twin, later the Cortland Cinemas I & II, opened in October 1974 and closed in February 1987. During the rest of 1987 and into the early-1990’s, it never appeared to advertise in Ithaca area newspapers.

The Cortland Plaza Twin actually closed on October 13, 1990 with “Hardware” in Screen 1 and “Pacific Heights” in Screen 2.
