Located in Chachoengsao in the Chachoengsao district, east of Bangkok. The 900-seat Kitty Rama opened as a single screen cinema in 1973 and was the largest cinema in the district. It was operated by Sawong Leetsuthakul. Under the stairs to the auditorium was a coy fish pond with green plants, the only cinema in Thailand to have this feature.
In 1996 the Kitty Rama was twinned and later a small screen with digital projection was added. The Kitty Rama was closed in May 2014 due to not passing fire safety rules following a costly refurbishment which featured curtaining and carpets that were not fireproof. Later the lower lobby was retrofitted with Karaoke rooms.
