The 1950 Film Daily Year Book included the 300-seat Fain Theatre in Sour Lake, TX.
On April 7, 1951, Boxoffice wrote, “J. Wood Fain of Woodville sold the Fain Theatre at Sour Lake to George H. Moore from Sioux Falls, S. D. The theatre business is a new venture for Moore, who decided that he wanted to enjoy the warmer winters of Texas instead of the blustery South Dakota weather”. The Fain Theatre was still open in 1957.
