The 1945 Film Daily Year Book listed the Opera House, with 586 seats, in Brighton, IL. The 1950 Film Daily Year Book didn’t list anything for Brighton.
On December 29, 1956, Boxoffice reported that Mrs. Edith Brands had sold “the Brighton (IL.) Theatre”, along with the Grafton (IL) Theatre, to Ralph Johnston of Grafton. The note concluded, “The Brighton had been dark for some time”.
