The August 22, 1953 issue of Boxoffice reported that Edmonton’s Canada Theatres, Ltd., had opened the High Wood Drive-In in High River. Arnold Thomson was president of the company, Albert Dyson the vice-president, and S. Don Johnson the secretary.
The 1956 International Motion Picture Almanac included the “Highwood” Drive-In with a capacity of 300 cars, owners A. & S.D. Johnston.
