Located in Shaw, to the north of Oldham, Lancashire. Built adjacent to the Carnegie Library, the Picturedrome was opened by 1912. (not to be confused with the Electric Picturedrome on Farrow Street). In April 1913 the Picturedrome was re-named Pavilion Cinema. It had a 28ft wide proscenium. Around 1931 it was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system.
The Pavilion Cinema was converted into a bingo club around 1961. The building has since been demolished and is a vacant plot of land. (the adjacent library building is still standing)
