The April 18, 1953 issue of Motion Picture Herald reported, “W. H. Cobb’s and B. W. Steven’s new Brad Drive-In, Plaquemine, La. opened April 10 1953. It is a 450-car spot”.
The April 25, 1953 issue of Boxoffice wrote, “Bill Cobb opened his new 300-car Brad Drive-In in Plaquemine, La”.
The August 8, 1953 Independent Film Journal noted that the Brad had become a Page Baker affiliate.
The 1955-56 Theatre Catalog included the Brad Drive-In, capacity 350, owner W. H. Cobb. It was possibly closed in 1987.

I can find no indication of a drive-in with a 1962 aerial. So, it’s either really far away from the town or had a very short run and was totally demolished and replaced to make it unrecognizable as a drive-in.
Or, I just can’t see it. Probably the latter… ;)
Kenmore, I’ve also had a look and I might’ve possibly found it. The closest address I can get that works on google maps is Industrial Boulevard & Louisiana 1148 - if you look at this area there is a vacant tree filled lot. Just start at Plaquemine and go north on LA-1 and you should see it in the 1962 aerial, you can see old ramp markings. The location is just out of Plaquemine so it might be the one?
Why the name Brad?
Kennerado, I agree. I suggest the address of Louisiana 1148 & Union Street, Plaquemine, Louisiana, as that at least touches the property, even if its away from what was the entrance. The current access road to the property is now on Union Street.
From its appearance in the 1962 aerial, it looks like it had been demolished several years earlier. You can see the substantial growth of trees on the property. So, it doesn’t look like it lasted past 1956.
There’s now a 1957 and 1959 aerial photo available, the drive-in looks active in 1957 however in 1959 its derelict, safe to assume it closed in the late 50’s.
If its last entry in the theater catalog was 1956, then it may have closed by 1957 and was certainly demolished by 1959. So, it could’ve lasted just three years.
