Savoy Kino Bordesholm

Single-screen auditorium located in the town of Bordesholm. Usually shows German and European films a few months after their original theatrical run.

Originally opened as a commercial theatre in 1950 by Robert and Erna Meyer, where it showed Hollywood titles. It then went into a period of despair after the 1970’s during the so-called “cinema crisis”. It was eventually renovated in 2000 with municipal assistance and is now run by the Bordesholm Cinema Association (Kinoverein Bordesholm). In 2013, the Savoy Kino received a digital projector.

Aside of films, plays and concerts also take place here.
