Located in Immingham, Lincolnshire. The Naval Cinema was located at the corner of Pelham Road and Ings Road (now renamed Worsley Road). The Naval Cinema was opened in 1924. It was a conversion of a large ex-navy corrugated shed to the plans of Grimsby based architect William Wells for the operator Albert Marshall of Caister on Sea.
It was said to be rather noisy when it was raining on the metal roof. It operated into the mid-1930’s when the Albert Marshall closed it due to his ill health. A week after closing youths set fire to the building and it was destroyed. All the equipment (which had already been sold to be fitted into a cinema in Retford, Nottinghamshire) was destroyed.

I have uploaded an extract from the 1932 OS Map of Immingham. The cinema is marked as a ‘hall’ rather than as a picture theatre. It was located on the corner of Pelham Road and Ings Road, which has been renamed to Worsley Road now. The Roxton Practice now stands on the site of the former cinema. Humberville Street ran alongside of the hall, with Battery Street being the next road along.
