The Empire Theatre was opened by 1914. There is a 1919 newspaper advertisement for the Victory Theatre which is named as being formerly the Empire Theatre which had been completely remodeled and was showing Douglas Fairbanks in “His Majesty, the American”. It is also referenced on another web site. It was still open in 1929, but had closed by 1931. It reopened later and by the 1940’s it was operated by the Interstate Theaters Corp.
