The Silver Creek Theatre and Ballroom was active as a movie theatre from 1950 to 1966. It also went by the name of the Silver Creek Auditorium. Henry and Rose Koa ran the operation from 1952 to 1966. Henry’s death in 1966 seems to have ended the movie side of things.
The venue soldiered on as the Silver Creek Ballroom hosting Silver Creek’s centennial on November 5, 1966 and countless weddings, dances and other events. The fun stopped when the Pioneer Ballroom was condemned in 1987 ending all activities.
