The Electric Theatre opened its doors on February 4, 1915 with a film entitled “The Mutual Girl”.
The Electric Theatre is notable for an incident which on March 22, 1915, 9-year-old Wallace Trundle met Dock England, a boy from the same age in an alley back of the Electric Theatre, where they engaged in a fight in which Wallace stabbed Dock in the arm with a knife, receiving a wound. The Adair Citizen had delivered an evidence that anyone should not bring a knife to any public place.
It was closed in 1918.
