Naples Theatre

The first mention of a Naples Theatre in Film Daily Yearbooks was in the 1936 edition which listed a 300-seat Naples Theatre (Closed). The closed theatre was also listed in 1937 & 1938. In 1939 a 250-seat Naples Theatre was listed. In 1940 thru 1943 it carried the name New Naples Theatre. By 1950 it had been renamed Naples Theatre with 225-seats. There is a 1951 image of the marquee of this theatre in Boxoffice, and it is listed on another movie theatre site. The Naples Theatre was still open into the 1960’s.

The Naples theatre was in operation at least through the mid 1960s and was located on 3rd Street. In that there is no evidence of a Quonset building in that area, it appears that it was razed.
