The Fether’s Point Film Society was located in a storefront building in the Castro district of San Francisco. It was opened in October 1967 by Marge & John Buckley. It was closed on January 5, 1972 due to problems with the landlord and city code issues. It now operates as MaMa Ji’s restaurant.
John Buckley later operated the Cento Cedar Cinema, the Rio Theatre on Union Street which he renamed Mercury Theatre and and the Bridge Theatre (all three have their own pages on Cinema Treasures).
