Located in Cayce, to the south of Columbia, SC. in the Parkland Plaza. The Gamecock Theatre opened as a twin screen theatre on June 16, 1972 with Nigel Davenport in “Living Free” and Liza Minnelli in “Cabaret”. It had closed by the 1990’s when it was operating as ReSale ReVue.

There’s an ad for this theater showing that it had two screens, with “Deliverance” on one screen and “Cries and Whispers” on the other. Both movies are from 1972, so unless it was showing them as revivals it was a twin by then.
This was being advertised in the Columbia State newspaper as a Roth Theatre on 3/22/1985
Opened on June 16, 1972 with “Living Free” at Screen 1 and “Cabaret” at Screen 2. The Gamecock closed in late-1993.
