I ran across this on Facebook. The twin screen Suurvik Cinema was opened on July 4, 2014 with Channing Tatum in “22 Jump Street” & the animated feature “How to Train Your Dragon”. Appears to run current releases. It is operated by the Lower Kuskokwim School District on a lease from the Bethel Native Association.

The Suurvik Cinema opened its doors on July 4, 2014 with “22 Jump Street” in Screen 1 and “How To Train Your Dragon 2” in Screen 2. The Suurvik was the first movie theater to operate in Bethel since the early-1980s closure of the Swanson’s Theatre.
