This theatre has started screening films as part of the New Plaza Theatre project that went strictly to on-line streaming after the flooding of their Broadway and 62nd street location. It is located on the second floor of the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew, a Methodist congregation located on W. 86th Street between Broadway and West End Avenue. Although the space had other uses prior to the pandemic closing, the addition of projection equipment for cinema use is a new development. Prior to this, it hosted dance, theater, and opera since 1999. Since other church locations were rejected due to programming approval, it is presumed this church would be involved in such intervention.
