This theater, located on the rear of the Scampini Building, with the entrance on Pearl Street, opened in 1908 as the Massucco’s Theater. It’s name was changed to Bijou Theater the same year. Another name changed occurred in 1910, this time to Pavilion Theater, keeping that name until 1921 when it reverted to Bijou again. Suffering stiff competition from the new built Magnet Theater and Park Theater, the Bijou Theater closed its doors for good in 1921.
