Boxoffice reported on September 10, 1955 that H. (Henry) Ford Taylor had sold an uncompleted drive-in near Rankin to L. D. Sipes and Vernon Black. “Early completion of the drive-in will be the first goal of the new owners.”
A 1968 aerial photo showed a drive-in theater less than a mile north of town. It was gone by 1996. An oil field equipment supplier occupies the site today.
