Not to be confused with the other Family Theatre nearby formerly known as the Wilson’s Theatre (which has its own page on Cinema treasures), the Hewitt’s Family Theatre is a very short-lived vaudeville theatre which opened shortly before the nearby Charles Amusement in early-1907. It was located on the second floor of the Birk Building. The Hewitt’s Family Theatre closed in 1909.
It was unknown who Hewitt was, but the later manager of the theatre is Edward Santoro, with other workers being Edward’s daughters, Ms. Ogden and Abel Santoro.

Status should be demolished. There is a modern parking structure at that address.
