Located in Winsford, Cheshire. The Wharton Town Hall was an imposing Tudor Revival style building on the Market Place which was built in 1890. It was operated as the Cinema from around 1913. Later renamed Super Cinema, it was closed as a silent cinema by 1927. The manager at closing was Thomas Shirlock.
It had later use as a billiard hall. It has been demolished, but there are two other Tudor Revival style buildings still standing on what remains of the Market Place: both are pubs…The Hive & The Ark Hotel.
