The 600-seat Avon Theater opened on June 19, 1926 with Jane Novak in “Lure of the Wild”. It was equipped with a Marr & Colton theatre organ which was opened by Joseph B. Tallmadge. Two days after opening it suffered a fire in the projection box. Repairs were carried out and it reopened on June 30, 1926 with Dorothy Revier in “When Husbands Flirt”. It was closed after 1950. The building still stands in 2022, abandoned.

Opened around June of 1926, per a Variety article. Opening night organist was Joseph B. Tallmadge.

The Avon Theatre had a soft launch opening on June 19, 1926 with Jane Novak in “Lure of the Wild” supported by the first episode of “The Silver Streak” serial. Two days later, it suffered a fire in the projection booth. It had its official grand opening on June 30, 1926 with “When Husbands Flirt” and Joseph B. Tallmadge playing the Marr & Colton pipe organ.
