Idle-=Hour Theater

Originally operating as a chop house restaurant from 1900 to around 1907. The building was converted into the Idle-Hour Theater in early-July 1909. It proved to be very popular and in 1910 it was renovated and the seating capacity was increased. On May 26, 1914 it was destroyed by fire.

A new theatre named Wishard Theatre was built and opened on the site. That theatre is now the Iowa Theatre which has its own page on Cinema Treasures.
