Located in Coatbridge, to the east of Glasgow. The 1,200-seat Coatbridge Cinema was opened by 1913. Throughout most of its entire life it was operated as an independent cinema by Coatbridge Cinema Ltd. and was booked by A.B. King and had joined his chain of cinemas by 1934 when it had been renamed Cinema. Around 1930 it was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system and the proscenium was 22ft wide. It was closed in the mid-1960’s and has been demolished.
