Fairyland Theatre

This short-lived early theatre appears on the 1912 Sanborn, where it is already shown as vacant. In the 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory it is listed as the Fairyland Theatre. The building, a simple wood-frame structure with attached shops, replaced a modest house shown on this corner in 1906.

It is unclear whether entry was on the narrow end facing what was then simply termed a driveway, or if it was off of what was then W. Exchange Street, now known as Montcalm Street. Long ago demolished, the corner is now a parking lot and depressingly ugly abandoned pharmacy.
