Marc and Chastity Dykstra purchased the Washakie Twin Cinemas in July 2022 and after renovations the renamed Washakie Cinemas reopened November 5, 2022.
With 105 seats in each cinema, on opening night “Black Adam” and “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile” were sold out.
The Northern Wyoming News reported Brian Feraud, the previous operator, had owned the cinemas since 2007 and due to Covid-19 it closed in March 2020.
Worland, with a population of 5,112, is approximately 165 miles from Casper.
