The Middlebrook Twin Cinemas was located at the Middlebrook Shopping Center (now the Middlebrook Shopping Plaza) and opened its doors on July 6, 1973 with Michael Cane in “Sleuth” in Screen 1 and Gene Hackman in “The Poseidon Adventure” in Screen 2.
It was first operated by Music Makers Theaters, before flipping over to Loews in 1986. For only eight years operating as a Loews theater, the theater became part of the Florin Creative chain in mid-1994.
Shortly after the Florin chain opened its Gallery 10 nearby, the twin became part of the Sony Theatres chain less than a year later. However, as a Sony, it got beaten out big time by the Florin Creative operated Middlebrook Gallery 10, and the Middlebrook Twin closed for the final time in 1996.
