Open prior to 1946, the Legion Theatre was a segregated theatre with a side entrance to the balcony for the African-American community. It never made it to listings in editions of Film Daily Yearbook.
It was still in operation in the late-1970s but now is known as “The Conservatory”, a wedding venue which has gutted the interior of the building.
I have uploaded photos, including one from 1946, from the Save Acworth History Collection at Kennesaw University.
