The little northeastern Illinois town of Richmond did have a theatre in its history, although films were also shown at the town’s Memorial Hall as well.

The Photodrome Theatre was opened screening silent movies. By 1926 it had been renamed Richmond Theatre and it was equipped with sound in 1933. It was closed in 1949.

It was already named the Richmond Theatre in 1926, and was unknown if the Photodrome Theatre name was used before.
