Located in the Poplar district to the north of Center City. The Fairmount Theatre was opened in 1914. It remained a silent cinema when it closed as the Ruby Theatre around 1929. It has been demolished and housing is now on the site.

Not to be confused with the Fairmount Theatre on Fairmount Avenue and 26th Street or the Ruby Theatre on Market Street or the Ruby Theatre on N. Front Street which have their own pages on Cinema Treasures.
