My now husband and I went on our first date
at this drive-in in 1986 :)
I remeber working second shift at old Cleveland Crane. We could hear the audio on summer nights.
I can’t confirm, but this theater might be a part of my first conscious memory that I can place a date to lol. Summer of 1984 My parents took me to see Ghostbusters at a drive-in (I was 2.5 yrs old, I’m 29 now), and I believe it to be this one considering its location. I grew up on Brush Road which was near the old K-Mart at the intersection of Richmond Rd & Euclid Ave. I know for a fact it wasn’t the Mayfield Road Drive-In, but it’s possible it was the Eastlake Drive-In, but I have a feeling it was this one. The only thing I actually remember about this was we were sitting in a car and I remember the scene near the beginning in the library when the ectoplasm is oozing and the papers are flying around lol. That’s all I wanted to say…
This opened on September 3rd, 1948
