Located in Sherburn Hill, 5-miles east of Durham City, County Durham. The Co-operative Hall was opened before World War I. By October 1913 it was operating as a cinema. In the 1920’s it was operated by William Wilfred Turnbull. When it was equipped for sound films around 1930 it was renamed Unity Cinema. It was closed in 1940.
