A good pic of the pre renovation condition of the interior from the official Foundation of the Carolinas web site. It shows remnants of the original decorations and how all the high relief plaster was removed during the early 60’s Cinerama modernization that draped the side walls. Most of what you see is pealing paint, not water damaged plaster.
