Located in the Everton district. The Moulton Hall was built as a public hall. It was granted a Cinematograph Licence on 5th April 1910 and became the Moulton Picture Palace. It was renovated in 1920 and during the late-1920’s variety acts appeared on its small stage as part of the programme. In 1929 it was equipped with a RCA Photophone sound system and was renamed Tivoli Talkie Theatre on 9th December 1929, screening Al Jolson in “The Singing Fool”.
In the early-1940’s it was taken over by the W.J. Speakman Circuit. The Tivoli Cinema was closed on 16th January 1954 with Barbara Stanwyck in “Sorry, Wrong Number”. It was later demolished when the area was redeveloped.
