The 9-screen TOHO Cinemas Namba opened its doors on September 24, 2006, featuring a total capacity of 1,960 seats including IMAX installations inside the largest screen in the theater which is the 453-seat Screen 2, as well as MediaMation MX4D inside the 112-seat Screen 5.
Speaking of Screen 2, it was the only auditorium in the theater featuring installations of Dolby’s 12 Channel Surround Sound as well as three wheelchair seats, while the remaining eight screens have Dolby’s 5 Channel Surround and have two wheelchair seats (except Screen 9 where it only had one wheelchair seat).

Screen 9 is also the smallest with 79 seats, and the rest of the auditoriums have ranging capacities of 94-335.
