The curator of the local history museum told me about this long-gone small theatre. The Majestic Theatre was opened on E. Lake Street in 1909. By 1910 vaudeville was also presented.

In 1912 the theatre moved to W. Lake Street. In 1938 a new marquee was added to the facade, and it was renamed Lake Theatre. It closed in 1974, but briefly reopened from September 1975 finally closing in June 1976. It stood vacant for 10 years and was demolished in 1985. The site now houses a Chinese restaurant.
