Monumental 4 Cinemas

Built on the same site as the magnificent Monumental Cinema Teatro & Satelite (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The 4-screen Monumental 4 Cinemas were located in a huge glass-encased building which contained a shopping mall and office space. It opened in 1986 and screened independent and European art house films. It was closed in 2023, but the local government put an order on the building that it must remain in cinema use and not be converted into other uses.
