The Highway 41 Drive-In was opened by 1948 when it was operated by E.L. McKenzie. It was listed as a (Portable) drive-in. By 1949 it was operated by Lewis Whitley. It was sometimes known as the North 41 Drive-In, still operated by Lewis Whitley in 1955. Possibly closed in the mid-1960’s, it had been demolished by 1971.

Found it. It was located on 4794 NC-41, Fairmont, NC 28340, which looks operational in the 1950s and 1960s. The theater may’ve closed later on in the 1960s, as it was already completely demolished by 1971.
Not only completely demolished, but no trace of the drive-in remains. Not even parch marks in the field.
