The Coeur D’Alene Evening Press reported the opening of the Lyric Theatre January 27, 1908, with a sold-out house. The attraction was a “Passion Play” film from Pathe Films. A Mr. Paine said “Nothing but the very best pictures would be shown”.

Billboard magazine, September 10, 1910, listed the Lyric Theatre as being operated by Edmundson & Paine.

A movie theatre was listed at this location on 1908 Sanborn Maps and by 1921 the maps show the building as a vulcanizing and tin shop.

Toro Viejo Cantino restaurant/bar occupies the site today.
