The 900-seat Kyogle Memorial Hall institute was opened on 27th April 1932. It was designed by Colonel F.J. Board of Lismore. It is an imposing 2-storey wood building with a galvanised iron roof, and was used as a cinema from its inception when it operated as the Memorial Theatre. It closed as a cinema in the 1950’s.

The building was upgraded in April 2024 and 400 new cinema seats were installed. Acoustics were improved and new stage curtains were fitted. The building is also used as the Town Hall.
